Okowa's EAC floats NGO to help indigents, foster christians networking

 


Executive Assistant on Communications to Delta State Governor, Barr Fred Latimore Oghenesivbe, has announced the gradual take off of his pet project, Christ Eagles Network International, CENI, to assist indigent students, the needy and to foster networking among christians in public and private sectors.

The EAC in a statement on Friday said CENI has been duly registered at the Corporate Affairs Commission, CAC, and that the operational office shall be commissioned soon in Asaba.

"It gladdens my heart to announce the gradual take off of my pet project, Christ Eagles Network International, a nongovernmental organization to be inaugurated soon.

"CENI shall be managed by a Director-General while I am to Chair the Board. It's operations shall be national and global in nature in terms of partnership, programmes and activities.

"CENI will not interrupt my political career, public service and service to humanity, because I strongly believe that Christians must continue to play major roles in the advancement of democracy in Nigeria and around the globe.

"The NGO will seek local and international partnership to assist indigent students, the needy, organize christian seminars, conferences and hospital and prison ministry, as well as foster networking among christian leaders in public and private sectors.

"CENI is a vision God laid in my heart and I am committed to it. We shall also invest in the publication of Christian books, drama and video films production, Bible College, et al, in fulfilment of the network divine assigned responsibilities.

"I strongly believe that through the positive activities of Christ Eagles Network International, we shall be able to put smile on the faces of people that God will put in our care, and positively impact lives to the Glory of God," Oghenesivbe said.

GOV OKOWA NOMINATES ANIAGWU, OBORO, EGWEYENGA, OTHERS AS COMMISSIONERS
