Ekakpamre Ward PDP Celebrates Oborevwori, Utuama Elections Victory Amid Gaiety and Fun

The Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, of Ekakpamre ward in Ughelli South LGA on Easter Day, 9 April 2023, celebrated elections victory of Rt Hon Sheriff Oborevwori, and Hon Engr Festus Eseoghene Utuama as Delta State Governor elect and Member elect Ughelli South State Constituency respectively.

The event took place at the residence of Hon Temple Mudi, one of the foremost leaders of the party in the ward where other leaders, ward and units executives and other members of the party converged to celebrate the victory of the Delta State governorship candidate and the Ughelli South Constituency candidate in the 2023 general elections.

Recall that during the 2023 gubernatorial and state house of Assembly elections held on 18 March, governorship candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party, Rt Hon Sheriff Oborevwori and his deputy, Sir Monday Onyeme defeated their greatest contender, Sen Ovie Omo-Agege, candidate of the APC and candidates of all other political parties candidates to emerge winner and returned elected and issued certificate of return by the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC.

Also, candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party for Ughelli South state constituency for Delta State House of Assembly, Hon Engr Festus Eseoghene Utuama, floors Mr John Ighoruemu Oyibokwifi of the All Progressive Congress, APC and all other candidates of other political parties in the election to emerge winner of the election and also issued certificate of return by the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC.

In his opening speech at the event, the party's chairman in the ward, Apostle Apoe Umukoro extols leaders, ward and units executives and all other members of the party for standing firm to ensure victory of the party during the election especially for the governorship and the member to represents Ughelli South at the Delta State House of Assembly.

Apoe said the victory of the party's Delta State governorship candidate, Rt Hon Sheriff Oborevwori was arranged by God and certainly, approved the will of the people as he won 21 local government areas against his major rival, Sen Ovie Omo-Agege, candidate of the All Progressive Congress, APC who won just 4 local government areas.

He asserts that Deltans have spoken wisely as the next administration of the Governor elect, Rt Hon Sheriff Oborevwori and his deputy, Sir Monday Onyeme is sure to do M.O.R.E and advance Delta more, building on the achievement of the incumbent administration of HE. Sen Dr Ifeanyi Arthur Okowa.

Likewise, he gave thanks to God and the good people of Ughelli South especially members of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP for standing-tall behind Hon Engr Festus Eseoghene Utuama who to represent Ughelli South at the 10th State House of Assembly, saying that Utuama knows the yearnings of the people of Ughelli South and sure of effective and efficient representation.

Among leaders in attendance, Hon Temple Mudi, in his effusive words, praised leadership and members of the party in their resilience, determination, commitment piosed to ensuring victory of candidates of the party in the last elections, adding that they have made best choice that Rt Hon Sheriff Oborevwori and Hon Festus Eseoghene Utuama are best for Deltans and Ughelli South Constituency respectively in such a time.

Hon Ojays Ojigho, Hon Andrew Majemite, Pst Gordons Ufuoma and others also expressed gratitude to God Almighty, while acknowledging efforts of the people, moreso members of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP in ensuing victory of candidates of the party in the last elections.

GOV OKOWA NOMINATES ANIAGWU, OBORO, EGWEYENGA, OTHERS AS COMMISSIONERS
