PAP:Ujoh Camp Ex-agitators Cry Out To Dikio Over Maltreatment By Leader, James Rume

Members of the Ujoh Camp of Phase 2 Ex-agitators in Delta State has again cried out to the Interim Administrator of the Presidential Amnesty Programme, PAP, Col. Milland Dixon Dikio, Rtd over maltreated that they suffer in the hands of their leader, Gen James Rume.

According the statement signed by the camp Secretary and other members, stated that the Ujoh Camp with 22 Ex-agitators under the phase 2 of the Programme, was founded on January 20th, 2010 being the day they disarmed and surrendered their arms to the Federal Government and admitted into the Programme.

The Ujoh camp was founded by Asifor Oghenekparobor but was laProgramme, ed after he was released from detention and later moved to another camp in phase 1, after which James Rume became the leader of the camp.

Sadly, out of the 22 Ex-agitators approved and officially recognized by the Amnesty Programme, only 7 members are left as Gen James Rume has changed 15 others to his wives, children, and girlfriends who are now beneficiaries of the Programme, saying falsely that members have died.

They added that as at the time of this report, Gen James Rume the leader of the camp is making plans to change the remaining few original members of the camp to his favorites, who knows, his new girlfriends . "What a maltreatment!"

They also posited that in year 2018,  members were not paid their stipends and when they complained to the office, they were told that their leader, James Rume has been paid and received their salaries which he embezzled because the money were paid into his personal accounts.

That incidence led to a suit which they filed against the Amnesty office at the Federal High Court in Warri, Delta State through their lawye.

Having discovered out of critical analysis and investigation that the stipends were actually paid him, they have decided to withdraw the case as they have instructed their lawyer to do so and currently on process. But they assured to deal with James Rume decisively.

Hence the Secretary and other six real members of the camp urge the Amnesty office to pay their salaries individually into their personal accounts and not collectively into James Rume's account.

That James Rume should not be allowed to change another member of the camp and not also pend anyone's salary or sub change any of the members accounts.

That out of the real members left, five have gone for training but have not been empowered while the other two have not been trained and empowered. They request for the empowerment and training.

They also seek the Amnesty office to operate with them directly and not through their leader who don't give them the appropriate information and projecting their collective interest when required rather for personal gains.

Below are the active members of the camp:

With Pawpaw O. Julius (Bush Name) Mrikugbe Bulless, Monday Office, ThankGod Onajero, David Okoro, Amos Diajiyeren, Kalin Edwin, Isaac Okoro, James Rume (Leader),
