Ahwinahwi Congratulates Gov Okowa, Deltans On 30th Anniversary of State

Former Member of the House of Representatives, Hon Solomon Ahwinahwi, has congratulated Governor Ifeanyi Okowa and Deltans on the thirtieth anniversary of the State.

Hon Ahwinahwi, in his congratulatory message, said Delta State created on August 27, 1991, has made tremendous progress which has placed it ahead of others created at the same time.

The former lawmaker attributed the rapid progress in the state to the strategic leadership of the three successive governments of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, from 1999 till date.

Hon Ahwinahwi hailed former Governor James Ibori for laying a solid foundation in the State which was built upon by former  Governor Emmanuel Uduaghan and described both of them as visionary.

He noted that Governor Ifeanyi Okowa did not only consolidate on the achievements of his predecessors but took governance to a higher level by putting in place critical infrastructure that has made the state the cynosure of all eyes.

Hon Ahwinahwi, a senior Chief in Agbarho and Olomu Kingdoms, listed comparative peace and security, upgrade and concession of the Asaba International Airport, establishment of three new universities, construction of modern technical colleges across the state and massive road and bridge construction among others.

He congratulated Deltans and Governor Ifeanyi Okowa on the thirtieth anniversary of the state describing him as a blessing to the state and Nigeria at large.

Hon Ahwinahwi prayed for peace, unity and development of Delta state as well as for Governor Okowa, his cabinet members, leaders, the Peoples Democratic Party and Deltans in general.

GOV OKOWA NOMINATES ANIAGWU, OBORO, EGWEYENGA, OTHERS AS COMMISSIONERS
